Restaurants
A list of top restaurants to visit in NYC.
1. Sushi Nakazawa 23 Commerce Street New York, NY 10014
It was named the best restaurant in 2013 in the New York Times, this sushi experience looks rather delightful. The chef Daisuke Nakazawa, you could almost say the fish expert, uses the best quality fish and apprenticed with some of the best sushi chefs in the world before opening Sushi Nakazawa. If your a sushi lover, I would most definitely check this place out.

2. Balthazar 80 Spring street New York, NY 10012
I put this one in as I've been myself and am in love with the atmosphere and food. The bistro offers a french menu by chef Shane Mcbride. It's a restaurant buzzing with life and has a bakery, a raw seafood bar and an exceptional wine list.

3. Carbone 181 Thompson Street between Bleecker & Houston New York, NY 10012
This Italian- American restaurant tries to embody classic Italian- American food from the mid 20th century. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Yummy food served in a comfortable and "unpretentious" space.

4. Lombardi's Pizzeria 32 Spring St, New York, NY 10012
I thought a good pizzeria should be in this list and why not this one? It was named Americas First Pizzeria in 1905 and opened by an Italian Immigrant, it's still lives up to being the best pizza in town.

5. Freds at Barneys 660 Madison Ave #9 New York
Go for a fashion splurge and shop till you drop at Barneys department store then head upstairs for a delicious lunch in their restaurant, Freds.
6. Il laboratorio del gelato 188 ludlow street (at east houston) New York
Offering more than 200 flavours, knowing a good place to get ice cream is a must. Small but quality is what they aim for and a treat from here is not to be missed.

Hotels
Getting the area and location right when picking a hotel to stay in is crucial. I personally like to be able to walk everywhere when im in New York apart from the occasional yellow cab.
- Four Seasons Hotel 57 East 57th Street, New York, New York 10022 U.S.A.
A short walk away from central park, this elegant hotel is in the perfect location but not as busy as being on 5th avenue. The decor is stylish with a classic feel to it.

2. The Plaza Hotel Fifth Avenue at Central Park South, New York, NY 10019
The Infamous Plaza hotel, yes a night there might bankrupt us but it is too timeless and wonderful too not put in. As seen in films and books, the plaza is everything it says it is. It's right beside Central park and on Fifth avenue what more could you want really....if a stay here is completely out of your price range, why not try afternoon tea?

4. The St Regis Hotel 5th Ave. At 55th St. · New York, NY 10022
The hotel is newly renovated with amazing guest rooms, a new bar and much more. As it says on the website, "A bold new era of glamour at Manhattans best address".
